Pastor Kevin Kimes has a Bachelors degree in English Literature, a Masters in Business Administration and most recently a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated with honors.
Kevin was born in Texas but moved to Kentucky with the Kellogg company in the summer of 1996 and is now proud to call Kentucky his home. After he worked for Kellogg's, he worked as a Financial Advisor before he submitted to the Lord's call to ministry in 2009. Since then Kevin has served as Spiritual Director for Bridge Prison Ministry, interim pastor at many Kentucky churches, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Shelbyville and Moderator for the Shelby Baptist Association. Pastor Kimes also has the privilege of serving on the Kentucky Baptist Foundation's Board of Directors.
Kevin and his family, Jennifer (wife), Tabitha, Sabrina, Alex and Nathaniel moved to Henry County in July 2015. Since then they have been very involved in our community coaching soccer, leading Bible studies, and making and building disciples for our Lord.
Kevin is passionate about biblical preaching and teaching for the glory of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. He strives to do so by His power, in accordance with His will, and for the advancement of His kingdom.
